To work at camp you need to be 18 years of age

Camp counselors guide and ensure the safety of children as they engage in camp activities. They assist in the activity planning process, receive special training to fully support children, and lead them as they participate in camp events.
If your camp is a residential camp you may be living with up to 15 children ensuring safety in the bunk, sleeping / waking on time.

For a General Counselor position most camps will hire you with out any experience as long as your willing to learn and work hard.
Other positions require experience for example, Waterfront Director will require previous knowledge in leading staff and running a safe and fun waterfront.

This all depends on your position. As mentioned in an earlier question General Counselors will live in cabins with Children.
Program heads and office staff typically have private or semi-private accommodations. Housing is clean and comfortable with accessible bathrooms, hot water and electricity.

Absolutely not, every camp is different, from sports camps to religious camps there are many others in between.
What they do all have in common is that there aim is to give their children the best summer ever and you as staff will help do that.

Staff members are typically assigned one full day off each week. Staff also have a few evenings off per week, and most staff have a period off during the day as well. Each camp will share their specific time off policies when you speak with them
